The Panda Band

The Panda Band was born from one mind and aided by few machines in a small cell in Perth. The songs were built on melody skeletons, they grew, learnt, ran and rejoiced in the open spaces of their town.

Damian remixed Good Dancers in 2003 and won a Triple J competition to make him happy.

A small plastic disc flew over east in a paper bag with a demonstration of Eyelashes by The Panda Band encoded on its surface.

Triple J and FBI Radio added Eyelashes to their "must play everyday" lists. Inpress (Melbourne) and The Brag (Sydney) said it was the best song that week so they wrote it a love letter in their publications.

Autumn 2004 faded with the easterlies and Damian was joined by four good friends who helped bring life to the one's and zero's.

The Simian Line

The Simian Line are a 5 piece rock outfit that originally formed in early 2001 under the name Zeta Theory, before undergoing a series of lineup and stylistic changes.

Over the years, the band has come a long way, both in their sound and song writing as well as in their active stage performance. They have been gigging regularly around Perth and have supported nationally renowned acts including The Butterfly Effect and Sunk Loto, as well as playing 3 years worth of WAMi Festivals, The Big Day Out, The Rockathon for Cancer, and appearing on multiple compilation cds including Left of Centre, and S.L.A.M.

They launched their debut self-titled EP in November 2001 and released their follow-up ‘Reticuli’ in April 2003, and the single, ‘Leave Without A Scar,’ in April 2005. The Simian line are set to release their next EP mid 2006 through MGM, which will be followed by their debut interstate tour.

El Horizonte's

Inspired by the vast vistas of desert and ocean etched into their soul by their hometown of Geraldton, El Horizonté create music that is honest, passionate and strikingly raw. Fusing elements from stoner, rock and punk, El Horizonté possess a unique, uplifting sound, with a burning live show.

El Horizonté's origins go back to Geraldton 1997 where two young fishermen Ben and Eddie terrorised the town with their rock band Horizon. Formed by four high-school friends with long hair, Horizon built a loyal following, playing wild backyard parties and inciting riots. The bands first release, 'Another Place, Another Time' gained them a slot on the annual Juggernaut festival, supporting acts such as Allegiance and Shihad.

In their pursuit of a greater vision, the band decided to leave Geraldton for Perth, sadly parting ways with their bass player. New bass player Dan was found in early 2001 and Horizon commenced their attack on a sleeping city. They steadily built their profile, however it was felt that full potential was not being met. March 2002 saw the induction of new drummer Angus, bringing to the band a new life - and a new beginning - El Horizonté.

The band has since been gigging heavily, taking out the Taste Band Comp Grand Final, receiving a WAMI nomination for Most Promising New Band and winning the National Campus Band Competition state final. The future sees El Horizonté entering Survival Studios with producer Adam Keane (The Panics, Black Steel) to record a full-length album for release in early 2003.
